Privacy

Your work stays your work.

This policy explains what information Scormula needs to provide the service, why we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies when you visit Scormula, create an account, build or export a course, contact support, or pay for a subscription. Scormula is an Australian-operated course-authoring service.

2. Information we collect

3. Why we use it

We use information to authenticate you, save and export your courses, provide billing and support, prevent misuse, diagnose failures, meet legal obligations and improve the reliability of Scormula. We do not sell personal information or use customer course content to train generative AI models.

4. Service providers and overseas processing

Scormula relies on specialist providers for authentication, database and file storage, hosting, email delivery and payments. These may process information outside Australia. The V1 providers include Supabase for account/data infrastructure, Stripe for payments, and the configured hosting/CDN provider. We limit access to what each provider needs and review their security and privacy terms.

5. Course content and learners

Scormula creates downloadable SCORM packages; it is not an LMS and does not host your learners or receive their LMS results. You are responsible for ensuring course content and uploaded personal information can lawfully be used. Avoid placing unnecessary sensitive personal information in a course.

6. Security

Accounts use Supabase authentication, private owner-scoped storage and row-level access controls. Connections use encryption in transit. No internet service can promise absolute security, so we also limit retained data, monitor important failures and maintain recovery procedures.

7. Retention and deletion

Account and course data is kept while your account remains open. Cancelling Pro does not delete your courses. When you delete the account, Scormula removes the account’s active course, profile and uploaded-file records. Limited billing, security or support records may be retained where reasonably required for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling or law. Provider backups may age out through their normal protected backup cycle and are not used to recreate a deleted account.

8. Your choices and rights

You can update account details in Settings, download course exports, cancel a subscription through the billing portal and delete the account from Settings. You may also ask for access to or correction of personal information, or raise a privacy complaint, by emailing support@scormula.com.

9. Cookies and local storage

Scormula uses browser storage and essential authentication data to keep you signed in, preserve interface preferences and recover unsaved work. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

10. Children

Scormula is intended for adult course authors and workplace use. It is not designed for children to create accounts or submit personal information.

11. Complaints and changes

Contact us first so we can investigate and respond. If an Australian privacy complaint is not resolved, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Material policy changes will be dated here and, where appropriate, communicated in the product.
