Help & answers
The things people ask most, answered plainly. Can't find what you're after? Get in touch.
Not at all. Scormula is block-based: you choose what goes on each screen, and it's styled for you as you build. There's nothing to code, and you don't need an eye for design to end up with something that looks good. That's rather the whole point.
When your course is ready, you click Export and Scormula hands you a single SCORM file — a zip. You upload that one file into your learning platform, much like attaching a document to an email, and the platform runs the course from there. New to this? Here's SCORM explained in plain English.
Yes — and you won't be asked for any payment details to start. The free plan lets you build up to two courses with the full editor, so you can get a real feel for how it works before deciding whether to upgrade.
Not yet — for now, courses are built within Scormula rather than imported from other tools. On the roadmap It's something we're looking at for the future; if it'd make a difference to you, we'd genuinely like to hear about it.
It's a shared standard that lets an authoring tool package a course for a standards-compatible learning platform, then report progress and results. You don't have to manage the technical packaging — Scormula handles that part. Here's the full plain-English explainer.
Start with the version your LMS documents as supported. SCORM 1.2 is a practical default for completion and score reporting. Choose SCORM 2004 when your LMS supports it and you need separate completion and success statuses. More on the difference.
Scormula bundles uploaded images, video and captions into the SCORM package. A video added by provider link remains external, so learners need internet access and that provider must remain available. Because LMS implementations vary, check which SCORM version and upload-size limit your platform supports, then run a short test assignment before a broad rollout.
If a package behaves differently in your LMS, send support the LMS name, SCORM version and what you observed. That gives us enough detail to investigate properly.
Yes. Your learning platform will see who completed the course, and if you include questions, it reports scores and pass/fail results — the part that matters for compliance and certification.
Yes. Your course always lives in Scormula — edit it any time and export a fresh SCORM file whenever you like. The export is just a snapshot; the original stays yours to change.
The free plan lets you build two courses, with no payment details needed to start. Pro is AUD $19/month and includes unlimited saved courses subject to fair use, 5 GB media storage, watermark-free SCORM 1.2 and 2004 exports, every included theme, and a reusable Brand Kit. The exact recurring amount is shown before payment.
Nothing you've made disappears. Any SCORM files you've already exported remain yours to keep in your LMS and downloads, and running the package does not require an active Scormula subscription. Linked-provider videos are still subject to learner internet access and provider availability. Your courses also stay in your Scormula account rather than being deleted.
After the paid period ends, Free-plan creation, storage and export limits apply. Existing saved courses are preserved; if you are over a Free limit, you can still open and manage your work but must return within the limit before the restricted action is available.
Scormula uses authenticated accounts, owner-scoped database access and private media storage. Stripe handles payment-card entry, so Scormula does not store full card numbers. No online service can promise absolute security; see the Privacy Policy for the controls and choices that apply.
